ISTANBUL, Aug. 18 (Xinhua) -- At least 37 people were injured overnight in a bus accident in northwestern Turkey, local media reported on Sunday.
The mishap occurred when the bus hit a lorry from behind in the province of Duzce, the Cumhuriyet daily said, noting the accident caused a traffic jam for hours on the highway.
The driver and his assistant were stranded in the bus but were rescued following a two-hour rescue operation, according to the report.
The cause of the accident was not immediately clear, press reports said.
