MONTREAL, Aug. 22 (Xinhua) -- The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has called a halt to the accreditation of the National Dope Testing Laboratory (NDTL) in New Delhi.
WADA says it has imposed the suspension due to non-conformities with International Standard for Laboratories (ISL), which was first introduced in 2002 to grant WADA the responsibility to accredit and re-accredit anti-doping laboratories.
The suspension, which went into effect on August 20, will last six months, during which time the laboratory will be banned from conducting any anti-doping activities, including all analyses of urine and blood samples.
