Indian car maker Maruti Suzuki launches initiative to enhance customers' convenience

NEW DELHI, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) -- Indian car maker Maruti Suzuki, which enjoys more than 50 percent share in the country's car market, announced its initiative "service on wheels" in order to enhance customers' convenience, an official statement said on Wednesday.

"It is a smart workshop on the move to offer customers the option of availing Maruti Suzuki service at their doorsteps," it said.

"Service on wheels" will be equipped with all modern tools and technologies to undertake service, repairs and other related jobs for all Maruti Suzuki passenger vehicles.

According to the statement, it will boost the existing Maruti Suzuki service network of over 3,600 workshops across more than 1,800 towns and cities.

"Service on wheels" encompasses both paid and free services as offered by a standard Maruti Suzuki Service Center, along with repairs, underbody inspection, oil changing and filter cleaning, the statement said.
