NEW YORK, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- No. 19 seed Caroline Wozniacki made her way into the third round of the U.S. Open, fighting back a challenge from American Danielle Collins to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 here on Thursday.

As two-time U.S. Open finalist, Wozniacki struggled to find her rhythm early against the hard-hitting Collins. The Dane settled down in the next two sets, while the 35th-ranked Collins became more erratic, making 18 unforced errors in the final set and 46 for the match. Wozniacki closed out the final game at love with a backhand down-the-line winner.

Wozniacki will next face reigning Rogers Cup and BNP Paribas Open champion Bianca Andreescu, who dispatched Belgian qualifier Kirsten Flipkens earlier in the day.
