PHNOM PENH, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad will pay an official visit to Cambodia on Sept. 2-4 to further enhance bilateral ties and cooperation, a Cambodian foreign ministry statement said on Friday.
During his visit, Mahathir will hold a bilateral meeting with Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Techo Hun Sen to discuss various aspects of bilateral ties and cooperation, the statement said.
"The two leaders will also exchange views on regional and international matters of common interest. Thereafter, the two prime ministers will preside over the signing ceremony of a number of documents and hold a joint press announcement," it said.
While staying in Phnom Penh, the Malaysian prime minister will also pay separate courtesy calls on Samdech Say Chhum, acting head of state, and Samdech Heng Samrin, president of the National Assembly, it added.
