MOSCOW, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- Two people were killed and five were injured in a crash landing of an An-2 light aircraft in Russia's northern Yakutia region, the regional division of the Russian Emergency Ministry said Friday.
The aircraft, owned by a private company, made an emergency landing near a lake some 400 km from the departure point near the region's capital Yakutsk, it said in a statement. Seven people were on board.
A rescue crew from a nearby settlement flew to the crash site on a helicopter to provide assistance, the statement added.
