Chinese soap opera "Mr. Right" aired to mark 70th anniversary of China-Mongolia ties

ULAN BATOR, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- An official event to give a popular Chinese soap opera "Mr. Right" as a gift to Mongolian TV was held here on Saturday.

The 45-episode drama is airing on Asian Box to mark the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and Mongolia.

The event is part of a series of cultural events to celebrate the 70th anniversary.

"In recent years, cultural cooperation between China and Mongolia has been rapidly expanding. I am confident that Chinese TV series such as "Mr. Right" can provide Mongolians with a deeper understanding of Chinese culture," Li Wei, cultural counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Mongolia, said at the event.

"Chinese TV series have been gaining popularity in Mongolia. Our viewers have become more and more interested in the culture of China and Asia," said Naidansuren Mendbayar, CEO of Edutainment TV channel.

"Mr. Right is the 9th Chinese TV series airing on our television. The drama has been broadcasting from Aug. 26," said Mendbayar.

Asian Box is a subsidiary of Edutainment TV channel.
