1 killed, 1 injured in private plane crash near Moscow

MOSCOW, Aug. 31 (Xinhua) -- A private light aircraft crashed in the suburb of Moscow on Saturday, killing the pilot, who was also the owner, and injuring a 12-year-old passenger, RIA Novosti news agency reported.

The girl on board the two-seat plane has been hospitalized with a hip fracture and a suspected spinal fracture, RIA Novosti said, citing local emergency services.

The aircraft fell into parts and couldn't be repaired, it said, adding that a criminal case has been initiated since traffic safety rules were violated.
