THE HAGUE, Sept. 3 (Xinhua) -- The public prosecutor sought before the court in Amsterdam 25 years imprisonment against the man who stabbed two American tourists at Amsterdam Central Station last year.

The prosecutor repeated on Tuesday that the suspect is guilty of a terrorist crime. A mental disorder could not be diagnosed, so according to the prosecutor, the Afghan man with a German residence permit is fully accountable for what he has done. The chance of recurrence is also high according to the prosecutor.

One year ago on Sept. 1, the now 20-year-old Jawed S. took the train from Germany to Amsterdam to take revenge for anti-Islam comments in the Netherlands, especially comments made by Dutch right wing politician Geert Wilders.

On Monday Jawed S. stated in court that he wanted to kill "unfair and cruel people". His victims, tourists from the United States, were random passers-by. They survived the attack, but were seriously injured. One of them sustained paraplegia and will probably sit in a wheelchair for the rest of his life.
