HANOI, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Visa Application Service Center in Vietnam made debut here on Thursday, which is expected to provide greater convenience.
Having high application processing capacity, modern facilities and convenient reception areas, the center will serve applicants more professionally and effectively, better serving people-to-people exchanges between China and Vietnam, Chinese Ambassador to Vietnam Xiong Bo made the remarks when addressing the inaugural ceremony of the center here on Thursday.
Two more Chinese visa application service centers will be set up in Vietnam’s central Da Nang city and southern Ho Chi Minh City amid closer cooperation between the two countries on different fields, especially travel, the ambassador said.
At the ceremony, Do Hoang Tung, deputy head of the Consular Department under the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said, “The center’s establishment will help facilitate visa application process, especially for Vietnamese citizens who want to tour, study or engage in other activities in China.”
Travel between Vietnam and China is very convenient in line with economic development and people-to-people exchanges of the two countries, he said.
