TIRANA, Sept. 5 (Xinhua) -- Albania will increase trade in agricultural and livestock products with Saudi Arabia, Albania's Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Bledi Cuci announced here on Thursday.
Cuci hosted a delegation from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia headed by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Ahmed Saleh A. Alkhamshi.
According to Cuci, the sides focused on Albania's export of livestock, fruit -- especially dates -- and vegetables, and other aquacultural products.
"The two countries have all the opportunities to increase cooperation especially in the field of export of agricultural and livestock products. Agriculture and rural development are among the key sectors in the Albanian economy. We have the capacity and this is the moment to intensify trade relations with Saudi Arabia," Cuci said.
"A joint commission of the two ministries will be established in the coming months to make this cooperation work," Cuci said in a statement on Facebook.
