Chinese companies bring latest innovation and solutions to ITU Telecom World

BUDAPEST, Sept. 9 (Xinhua) -- At the iFlytek stands in the Chinese Pavilion at the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) Telecom World 2019, Gabor Budanhazy, a Hungary IT technician, was attracted by the smart conference system exhibited by iFlytek, a Chinese information technology company.

The system, with intelligent real-time speech recognition and translation technology, helps conference organizers to realize fast, accurate and complete recording of conferences and assist staffs in organizing meeting minutes and conference management.

"My job is relevant to providing software solutions to customers and I'm very interested in the technologies the iFlytek are exhibiting, for example, the image recognition and AI note," said Budanhazy from ITware Kft, a Hungarian software solutions company. "I'm not quite sure I understand everything here, but I'm trying to learn more about them," he added.

iFlytek, established in 1999, creates voice recognition software and 10+ voice-based internet/mobile products covering education, communication, music, intelligent toys industries. At this year's Telecom World 2019, it brought its latest innovations, such as speech synthesis and recognition, machine translation and commonsense reasoning.

Not only iFlytek, but also other more than 10 Chinese companies, including China Telecom, China Mobile, and Huawei, brought their latest solutions to the expo, a global platform for industry players, governments and consumers

5G is the hottest topic of this year's expo. China Mobile plans to put its efforts on promoting its "5G+ Plan" to the visitors and potential cooperators, including the latest development in 5G business, and interaction experience of 5G+4K live streaming.

The four-day event, which opened here in Budapest on Monday, is organized by the ITU and features debate, tech exhibition and networking.

The expo will cover innovations in areas ranging from Smart ABC (Smart AI, Banking and Cities), 5G, smart agriculture, e-waste management and satellites to smart transport, smart homes, climate change mitigation, pet healthcare, digital finance and others.
