Vietnam's capital Hanoi stock index ends down

HANOI, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- Stock market index of Vietnam's capital Hanoi, HNX-Index, closed at 99.97 points on Tuesday, down 0.88 points, or 0.87 percent, from the previous trading session.

Roughly 37.8 million shares worth 559.1 billion Vietnamese dong (24.3 million U.S. dollars) were traded at the Hanoi Stock Exchange on Tuesday. Specifically, foreign investors bought 1.1 million shares valued at nearly 13.1 billion Vietnamese dong (568,696 U.S. dollars), and sold 2.9 million shares valued at over 69.5 billion Vietnamese dong (more than 3 million U.S. dollars).

Prices of 52 stocks went up, 82 stocks dropped, while 233 stocks remained unchanged.
