RABAT, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Morocco and Cote d'Ivoire signed on Wednesday a Memorandum of Understanding to broaden parliamentary cooperation.
The memorandum was signed by Habib El Malki, speaker of the Moroccan House of Representatives, and Amadou Soumahoro, speaker of the National Assembly of Cote d'Ivoire.
It seeks greater coordination between the two legislative institutions, and will give a new impetus to bilateral relations to raise cooperation in the parliamentary field to a higher level, said El Malki.
Relations between the two countries are "strong and deep," said Soumahoro, adding that bilateral cooperation covers diverse areas including education, health, economy, trade, tourism and housing.
