BISHKEK, Sept. 12 (Xinhua) -- Kyrgyz Interior Minister Kashkar Dzhunushaliev and his Iranian counterpart Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli on Thursday signed an agreement on security cooperation.
Under the agreement, the two interior ministries will cooperate in the fields of security and law enforcement, especially in the fight against organized crime, terrorism, extremism, human trafficking and illicit trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances.
The agreement was signed in the Kyrgyz capital during a bilateral meeting between the ministers, according to the press service of the Ministry of Interior Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed prospects for the further development of their cooperation and noted the importance of joint decisions on pressing issues.
