Fire on oil tanker in west Norway put out

OSLO, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- An oil tanker, docked in county of Hordaland, western Norway, caught fire during oil filling, public broadcaster NRK reported Friday.The fire was extinguished by early afternoon.

106 people were evacuated from the terminal in Oygarden municipality and 22 people participated in the operation to put the fire out, the report said.

Liberian-owned tanker "Dubai Harmony" had 40 cubic of fuel onboard when the fire broke out. No human injuries were reported.

According to Morten Rebnord of the Western Police District, one person was treated by health professionals after inhaling smoke, the report said.

"We have just received message that the fire has been reported extinguished. They continue cooling on site," Hakon Myking, security commander in 110 central Hordaland, told NRK.
