BEIJING, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- A 70-episode mini-documentary series marking the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC) has won wide public recognition, the People's Daily reported Friday.
Following the format of dictionary entries, each five-minute episode explains a historical event during the past 70 years, such as the founding of the PRC in 1949 and the first session of the 1st National People's Congress in 1954.
The series is being aired on the science and education channel of Beijing TV and select official internet portals.
