BEIJING, Oct. 5 (Xinhua) -- Leaders of foreign countries and international organizations have sent congratulatory messages to Chinese President Xi Jinping to convey their best wishes on the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China (PRC).

The Forum on China-Africa Cooperation can be regarded as an example of China's active participation in the development of the African continent, he said.
Moldova's President Igor Dodon said Chinese people have created a great miracle over the last 70 years - turning China into a world's pioneering country within the shortest period of time.
He believes that the Belt and Road Initiative could provide a new major impetus to the development of Moldova-China relations.
Armenian President Armen Sarkissian said China has scored unprecedented achievements in the nation's construction and development over the last 70 years, adding that his country is fully confident in China's future development.
