MUMBAI, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- India's Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has been roped as a strategic partner by Copenhagen-based world's leading jewellery designer and manufacturer -- Pandora to enable digital transformation, a statement by TCS said on Monday.
As the service integrator and manger for application landscape and end user management, TCS will leverage its proven Machine First Delivery Model (MFDM) powered by its award-winning cognitive automation software -- ignio that will be aligned to Pandora's key business metrics, the statement said.
Established in 1982, Nasdaq Copenhagen listed Pandora jewellery with annual revenues of 3.4 billion U.S. dollars is sold in over 100 countries through 7,500 points-of-sale, including more than 2,700 concept stores employing more than 26,000 people worldwide, of which 11,500 are located in Thailand, where the company has a manufacturing facility.
Stating that the pact with TCS was marking an important milestone for Pandora, its CIO, Peter Cabello Holmberg said, "We have our future-ready IT (information technology) setup fully in place. And I am convinced that TCS with its global scale, retail expertise and cutting-edge solutions in relation to automation and AI will prove a perfect match for Pandora."
