VALLETTA, Oct. 8 (Xinhua) -- Forty-four migrants who were rescued by NGO vessel Open Arms were brought to Malta by the Armed Forces of Malta (AFM) on Tuesday.
The group was transferred from the NGO vessel to an AFM patrol boat in the early hours of the morning and disembarked at Haywharf naval base in Floriana at around 10 a.m., a spokesperson of AFM told Xinhua.
The group, consisting of 40 adults and four minors, was found on a wooden boat on Sunday.
