6.3-magnitude earthquake shakes southern Philippines

MANILA, Oct. 16 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.3 struck north Cotabato province in the southern Philippines on Wednesday, with damages and aftershocks expected, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) said.
