TUNIS, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- One "terrorist" was killed and another captured by army forces in western Tunisia, according to the Tunisian Defense Ministry on Sunday.
"The army carried out a pre-emptive operation in cooperation with the National Guard in the province of Kasserine, about 200 km west of the capital Tunis," a defense ministry spokesman was quoted by the local Alchourouk newspaper as saying.
The army killed one "terrorist," arrested another and seized their weapons during the operation, the spokesman said.
The operation is still going on in the region, he added.
