UK police say 39 bodies found in truck container

LONDON, Oct. 23 (Xinhua) -- The bodies of 39 people, including one teenager, have been found in a truck container in Essex, southeast England, police said Wednesday.

Local media reported that police were called by the ambulance service after the discovery at Waterglade Industrial Park in Eastern Avenue, Grays.

The truck driver has been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Police said early indications are that the 38 adults and one teenager have died.
