Motorbike bomb wounds 7 civilians in Afghanistan's Kandahar

KANDAHAR, Afghanistan, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- At least seven Afghan civilians were wounded as a motorbike bomb went off in Spin Boldak district of southern Afghanistan's Kandahar province on Wednesday, provincial police spokesman Jamal Barikzai said.

Militants planted an explosive device in a motorbike and detonated it in front of a hotel in the bazaar of Spin Boldak district at 1:11 p.m. local time, wounding seven innocent civilians, the spokesman said.

Without providing more details, he said an investigation has been initiated into the bombing.
