Chinese embassy in close contact with Mongolian police over telecom fraud

ULAN BATOR, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- The Chinese Embassy in Mongolia on Wednesday said it is in close contact with Mongolian police over a telecom and online fraud case involving Chinese suspects.

"Mongolian police told us that a group of Chinese citizens involved in an alleged telecom and online fraud case are now being questioned," the Chinese embassy said in a statement.

The embassy said China and Mongolia have smooth channels of cooperation in the field of law enforcement and security, and voiced its belief that the case will be properly dealt with in accordance with the law.
