KHARTOUM, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- Sudan and Central African Republic (CAR) on Monday agreed to achieve border security through joint forces.

"It has been agreed to enhance the cooperation between the two countries to secure the joint border through the joint forces between Sudan, Chad and Central African Republic," Sudanese Defense Minister Jamal-Eddin Omer told reporters after a meeting between Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, chairman of Sudan's Sovereign Council, and CAR Defense Minister Marie Noelle Koyara.

The two sides also agreed to make maximum use of their resources to address the economic issues for the wellbeing of the two peoples, he added.

Koyara, for her part, expressed CAR's appreciation for Sudan's continued support for her country in the fields of defense, economy, trade and agriculture.

She commended Sudan's great role in reaching a peace deal between the CAR government and the armed groups.
