COLOGNE, Germany, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) -- The International Trade Fair for Public Space, Sports and Leisure Facilities (FSB), world's leading fair for sports facilities, kicked off here Tuesday.

Covering topics relating to the planning and design of open spaces, sports facility architecture, playgrounds, sports equipment, exercise facilities and leisure amenities, the FSB not only shows global range of sports products and services with new developments such as artificial turf, basketball stand, ice rink, but also sets up platforms for discussion of future-oriented topics in the industry.

Particularly, this year's FSB introduced the RECYCLING Forum for the first time, highlighting the sense of sustainability, namely the life-cycle perspective of artificial surfaces including artificial turfs, fall protection and running tracks.

Around 620 exhibitors from 45 countries and regions attended the four-day fair organized by Koelnmesse, of which 60 percent are overseas exhibitors.

With about 80 participating companies, China is one of the countries with large representation in FSB this year.
