TUNIS, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- The security units in Sfax in southeastern Tunisia said on Friday that two individuals, including one belonging to a terrorist organization, have been arrested.
"One of the two individuals was wanted by the Tunis court of first instance and was sentenced to 72 years in prison," Houcemeddine Jbabli, the spokesman of the Tunisia National Guard, was quoted by Tunis Afrique Presse (TAP) as saying.
According to the Tunisian official, this individual had participated in two terrorist attacks.
The other person arrested was involved in several attempts to illegally cross the Tunisian maritime borders.
The two persons were sent to the authorities concerned to carry out the legal proceedings.
