VIENTIANE, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese engineering companies engaged in China-Laos railway construction in Laos have organized a ceremony on Friday in Lao capital Vientiane, handing over 280 school uniforms to Lao primary school pupils.
The China Railway No.2 Engineering Group (CREC-2), China Railway Eryuan Engineering Group and China Railway International Group, under the China Railway Engineering Corporation (CREC), who have been joining the construction of the China-Laos railway, handed over 280 uniforms to 30 pupils and teachers from the China-Laos Friendship Nongping Primary School. Panthong Kanthongmy, the school master, sent a letter of gratitude to the CREC representative.
Liu Jianyuan, Chairman of the CREC's labor union, introduced the "China-Laos Railway Extracurricular Counselor" activity.
The "China-Laos Railway Extracurricular Counselor" activity was initiated by the CREC China-Laos Railway Project Management, aiming to provide broad horizons and experience for primary and secondary school students in Laos.
