Morocco, Singapore discuss boosting cooperation

RABAT, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Morocco and Singapore reaffirmed mutual willingness to promote bilateral cooperation in various sectors, Moroccan prime minister said in a statement published Friday.

Moroccan Prime Minister Saad Dine El Othmani met with Singapore's Senior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean on Thursday in Moroccan capital of Rabat.

The two sides expressed the willingness to deepen mutual cooperation in key areas, particularly in education, religious training and industry.

They also discussed cooperation in security and the fight against all forms of terrorism and organized crime, it added.

The statement said that El Othmani shed light on the investment opportunities offered by his country in several sectors, including the automotive and aeronautical industries.

For his part, Teo Chee Hean expressed admiration for Morocco's religious model which "is based on the values of tolerance, moderation, mutual respect between religions and cultures and the rejection of extremism," the statement added.
