Volkswagen to recall over 9,000 Audi cars in Russia

MOSCOW, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Volkswagen Group Rus will recall 9,469 Audi Q5 vehicles sold in Russia since 2017 for repairs, the Russian technical safety watchdog Rosstandart said on Friday.

"The reason is that a protrusion in the rear wheel arch lining may come off the mounts due to a torsional deflection, which may weaken the mounting of the wheel arch lining and in some cases cause its complete separation," it said.

The company will fix the faulty component for free, Rosstandart said in a statement.
