MANILA, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.9 jolted southern Philippines at 0611 GMT on Sunday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The earthquake, with a depth of 53.0 km, was centered east of Ignit.
