YANGON, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Myanmar police seized over 1.35 kilograms of heroin in the central Sagaing region, the Central Committee for Drugs Abuse Control (CCDAC) said on Monday.
Acting on tip-off, a joint police force confiscated 440 grams of heroin and 890 stimulant tablets from a motorcycle in Homalin town on Sunday.
On the same day, 919 grams of heroin and 20,960 stimulants were also seized in the same town.
Meanwhile, an anti-narcotic task force found 528 grams of heroin from a car traveling on Muse-Mandalay road in Theinni town, Shan state.
Suspects in connection with the cases were charged under the country's Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law.
