6.2-magnitude earthquake hits waters off Vancouver Island

BEIJING, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- A 6.2-magnitude earthquake hit waters off Canada's Vancouver Island at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday Beijing Time, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.

The epicenter was monitored at 50.6 degrees north latitude and 130.05 degrees west longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 10 km.
