TUNIS, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian President Kais Saied on Thursday received an official invitation from Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to visit the kingdom.

The invitation was submitted to Saied by visiting Saudi Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud and Minister of State for African Affairs Ahmed Ben Abdelaziz Al-Qattan, said the Tunisian presidency in a statement.

The Saudi foreign minister emphasized the kingdom's commitment to boosting cooperation between the two countries.

"The upcoming visit of Tunisian president to Saudi Arabia will be devoted to strengthening and developing bilateral relations, consultation and coordination on issues of common concern," said the statement.
