MINSK, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Prices for goods and services in Belarus increased by 4.7 percent in 2019, the National Statistics Committee said on Monday.
In 2019, the country's paid services went up by 6.9 percent, food products became more expensive by 4.3 percent, and non-food products rose by 3.7 percent, according to official statistics.
Annual inflation in Belarus is below the inflation target set by the central bank by 0.3 percent.
In 2018, consumer prices in Belarus increased by 5.6 percent.
The government predicts that prices for goods and paid services will rise by no more than 5 percent in 2020.
