LUSAKA, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Zambia's meteorological body on Wednesday warned of more flash floods in some parts of the country due to anticipated increased rains this week.
The Zambia Meteorological Department said people should brace for flash floods this week as rainfall activities will continue over most parts of Zambia.
The meteorological body has projected flash floods to occur mainly in western and northwestern parts of Zambia as well as some parts of Southern Province.
Zambia has already witnessed flash floods during the 2019/2020 rain season, with infrastructure destroyed while agricultural fields have been submerged in water. Some people have since been displaced.
