Albania declares two Iranian diplomats persona non grata

TIRANA, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- Albania has decided to declare two diplomats of the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Albania persona non grata, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs (MEFA) said in a press release on Wednesday.

According to the press release, the two diplomats were declared persona non grata in Albania for conducting activities incompatible with their status and the principles of the Vienna Convention on diplomatic relations.

"The two representatives of the Islamic Republic of Iran have been asked to leave Albania immediately," it said.
