ALGIERS, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on Saturday headed to Germany to participate in the Berlin Conference on Libya, the Presidency said in a statement.
State-run radio channel confirmed that Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum will also participate in the conference.
Last week, German Chancellor Angela Merkel invited Tebboune to the conference which aims at bridging gaps between the Libyan warring parties to reach a peaceful and sustainable resolution to the crisis in the North African country.
The Berlin Conference on Libya will be attended by both parties of the Libyan conflict as well as a number of representatives from countries in and beyond the region.
