RABAT, Jan. 28 (Xinhua) -- Moroccan police seized 75 capsules filled with 1.27 kg of cocaine inside the stomach of a Malian national at Morocco's Casablanca Airport, official news agency MAP reported Tuesday.

The suspect, 47, was arrested on Jan. 24 by the security services upon his arrival on a flight from Conakry, Guinea, for his alleged involvement in a cocaine trafficking case, MAP quoted a source from the Moroccan police as saying.

The banned substance was extracted from the suspect's stomach at Ibn Rochd University Hospital in Casablanca, where he was under medical surveillance for a couple of days.

The suspect was remanded in police custody to complete the investigation.
