7.7-magnitude earthquake hits southern waters of Cuba

BEIJING, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- A 7.7-magnitude earthquake jolted the southern waters of Cuba at 3:10 a.m. on Wednesday, said the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 19.46 degrees north latitude and 78.79 degrees west longitude, with a depth of 10 km, the CENC said.
