MINSK, Jan. 29 (Xinhua) -- The tripartite contact group on Ukraine continued the discussion on identifying additional areas for the separation of forces and assets in Donbas, the OSCE (Organization for Security and Co-operation) special envoy in the contact group Heidi Grau told a press conference on Wednesday in Minsk.
The diplomat said the contact group focused on implementing the results of the Normandy Four summit in Paris.
The number of ceasefire violations in January 2020 still remains lower than last year's average, Grau said.
However, the diplomat stressed that the number of civilian casualties had increased in comparison with late 2019. Mines and shelling remain the key reason, she added.
The economic subgroup worked on issues related to the payment of pensions and the organization of water supply, the envoy said.
The political subgroup also discussed the implementation of the Steinmeier formula, Grau said.
The next meeting of the contact group will take place on Feb. 12 in Minsk.
