KIEV, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Head of the Lugansk Regional State Administration Sergey Gayday and French Ambassador to Ukraine Etienne de Ponsen discussed the possibility of financing the railroad construction in the Lugansk Region with the French side investing over 100 million Euro (about 108 million U.S. dollars), Interfax Ukraine reported on Wednesday.
"The meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Ukraine was very productive. The estimated investment will be over 100 million Euro," Gayday said.
It is noted that the funds will be spent on the construction of a railway that will connect the Lantratovka-Kondrashevskaya-Novaya line to the all-Ukrainian railway network.
Besides, the parties agreed on the electrification of the region's rail service and the implementation of a project to clean the water supply system.
