India's L&T Technology opens center to service Swedish company

MUMBAI, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- India's L&T Technology Services Limited has opened a dedicated Global Engineering Center in the southern city of Chennai to serve a multi-year engineering services contract from Swedish company Dometic, the company said on Monday.

The center shall complement Dometic's product engineering roadmap and will bring in capabilities to design and develop best in class products to support mechanical, embedded and connectivity areas across product lines, technologies and regions for Dometic's global clientele.

"Our ambitious growth plan includes new product and market areas, more focus on aftermarket and closer cooperation with our current and new supply base. This will require a new and more dynamic way of working to reduce our time to market," said Anton Lundqvist, the CTO of Dometic headquartered in Stockholm that provides products for use in recreational vehicles, trucks and premium cars, pleasure and workboats.

With annual revenue of 654 million U.S. dollars, L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS) is a listed subsidiary of diversified conglomerate Larsen & Toubro Limited over 16,700 employees spread across 17 global design centers, 28 global sales offices and 50 innovation labs.
