BANGKOK, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- The Thai Ministry of Commerce said on Monday that Thai exports grew 3.35 percent in January 2020, the first turnaround in six months, mainly due to oil and gold export.

The ministry's Trade Policy and Strategy Office said the rise was due to the results of positive sentiment from the Phase-1 trade deal between the U.S. and China.

Exports of products related to U.S.-China tariff measures, such as computers and components expanded in both the U.S. and Chinese markets, the office said.

In terms of export destination, Thailand's exports to the two major trading partners grew favorably at 9.9 and 5.2 percent, respectively.

Additionally, exports to China, countries in the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Middle East rose 5.2 percent, 3.8 percent and 2.0 percent, respectively.
