TUNIS, March 24 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian Health Ministry on Tuesday reported 25 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 114.

Out of the 114 cases, 39 are local cases and 75 are imported ones, said a ministry statement.

Tunisia's first case confirmed on March 2 has recovered, while three more deaths from the coronavirus are reported, the statement noted.

By Tuesday, over 15,952 people have been placed under quarantine in Tunisia, of whom more than 5,438 have completed the quarantine period.

According to figures from the ministry, the governorates of Tunis and Ariana in northern Tunisia are highly affected areas with 34 and 20 cases respectively.
