PHNOM PENH, April 2 (Xinhua) -- Cambodia on Thursday confirmed one more case of COVID-19 in southwest Sihanoukville City, bringing the total number of the confirmed cases in the kingdom to 110, according to a Ministry of Health statement.
The new patient is a 58-year-old Cambodian hotel manager, who had direct contact with a group of French tourists, who had recently tested positive for the virus when they visited Sihanoukville City in the coastal province of Preah Sihanouk, the statement said.
The man is a (hotel) manager, who directly greeted and had direct contact with the group of COVID-19-positive French tourists, it said. He has been placed under quarantine for treatment at a hotel in Sihanoukville City.
Nearly two weeks ago, 33 out of the 36 French tourists and two Cambodian tour guides as well as a bus driver were tested positive for the virus.
Cambodia has recorded a total of 110 confirmed cases of the virus to date, with 34 patients cured, according to the statement.
