RAMALLAH, April 2 (Xinhua) -- A Palestinian health official announced on Thursday that 21 new cases of COVID-19 were recorded in the West Bank.
Kamal Al-Shakhra, health care director of the Health Ministry, told a news briefing in the West Bank city of Ramallah that the 21 cases are nine from East Jerusalem, 11 from Ramallah and Al-Bireh district and its surrounding villages, and one case in Hebron,
Meanwhile, the Health Ministry said in a press statement that the total number of COVID-19 infections since March 5 has reached 155, including 143 in the West Bank and 12 in the Gaza Strip.
The statement also reported a death of a Palestinian woman from COVID-19 and 22 recoveries with 20 in the West Bank and two in the Gaza Strip.
