RABAT, April 15 (Xinhua) -- The Moroccan Ministry of Health reported Wednesday 136 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 2,024.
The death toll of the novel coronavirus in the country hit 127, it said.
The number of recoveries reached 229 and some 80 patients are being treated in intensive care units, the ministry said.
On March 22, the North African country declared a one-month state of medical emergency until April 20.
Morocco has closed all its land and sea borders, and suspended all international passenger flights starting from March 15.
