Indonesia reports 3,141 newly-confirmed COVID-19 cases, 118 more deaths

JAKARTA, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) -- The COVID-19 cases in Indonesia rose by 3,141 within one day to 221,523, with the death toll adding by 118 to 8,841, the Health Ministry said on Monday.

According to the ministry, 3,395 more people were discharged from hospitals, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 158,405.

The virus has spread to all the country's 34 provinces.

Specifically, within the past 24 hours, Jakarta recorded 879 new cases, East Java 343, West Java 203, South Sulawesi 185 and Central Java 171.

No more new positive cases were found in six provinces, namely Jambi, Bangka Belitung, Central Kalimantan, East Nusa Tenggara, Central Sulawesi and Gorontalo. Enditem
